Not only can I say I am fairly jealous of the Hawaiin vacation. But I'm glad you guys are having tons of fun.
Alright. Let me just say that transfers were not this past week. But they are this week. We just received a call last night from the assistants. And they told me that I am leaving this area...but I won't find out where to until Thursday. So that'll be nerve racking. All I know is that I am not going to the Border... So don't fret. I'm kinda nervous to change areas but so excited at the same time.
We are teaching a family.. The Wiekeke family. We have been teaching them for a couple of weeks now. But anyway. They totally came to church yesterday. Their three kids and everything. I don't really know totally how it went but I hope they somewhat enjoyed it. We have taught them both the law of chastity and the word of wisdom. When we taught the WOW they were like, "oh that's totally easy. We don't even drink coffee. And it'll be easy to stay away from the other stuff!" So that was fortunate. They have 3 kids. Ages 11, 9, and 5.
We are teaching this freaking ELECT woman named Keyla. She is from Honduras. She just totally wants to change her life around and it's pretty amazing. We get to teach her for a little while before she moves to another area... which is a bummer, but I mean, hey. So her and her friend Pedro are listening to us. I'm pretty sure Keyla is just going to accept every single thing we say. When we taught the Restoration she was like, "Okay great. What's next?" And like just ate it up... Hopefully we can help her gain a testimony. But any way. Her story is crazy and she is such a cool person and I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with her for a little while.
Still we are working with a lot of less-actives and trying to strengthen the ward. Its so rough. But its getting somewhere. Yesterday was my last Sunday and it was really bitter sweet. It's crazy cause this is just like my home now and all these people, I just love so much. It'll be weird to change. But anyway.
So i am looking foward to yet another great week! I will be changing up but I am excited. I love you all. Have a great week. Remember to always smile at whomever you meet.

Quince. 8/8/2011
We went to a Quincenera..the dinner portion. And it was funny. I thought it was going to be a lot bigger and extravagant but it wasn't anything too, too special. But it was cool none the less. Hence the picture. And those are members but pretty much less-active. Been working with 'em since I got here. They are very interesting people... hahaha. But anyway.
We met a mexican man who told us he used to be a member of our church but is no longer. He asked us how Joeseph Smith died, y yo dije, "A martyr". And he said to us no. "he was a cow robber." Apparently he thinks he stole cows from people on the trek to Utah. WHAT THE!? Now I don't really know what the cause was for him to leave the church, but man that was weird.
A whole bunch of people we talked to this past week were like, "you guys know what kind of area this is right?" And we're like "yeahh.." and they are like, "this is like the hood!" Hahahaha. I laughed.
I am meeting lots of interesting people. Still looking and searching for people who are prepared and ready to hear the gospel. It's tough but I love it.
Exchanges are coming up. Phone calls will be this Sunday. AHH! Everyone in my district is joking with me saying Imma go to the Border. HAHAHA. We'll see. But I am excited for a change.
I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!! I seriously am so happy you guys. It's so rough and all but I love it!
I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!

Halleluja! 8/1/2011
This week we met someone who told us his name is Halleluja. And his slogan was "I'm Happy". He was the most interesting man ever. We also met the most hood people in the world. It was pretty funny. They were asking us why there was so many churches and we answered and they said they need to find the truth and stuff. They aren't going to act thought and don't wanna be taught. But I mean, whatever. We are still working with and trying to find inactives since there are a lot. We found this legit family who we are teaching. We will see where it goes. I am really hoping and praying for them. We also met this "Far to the left side Democrat" (that's what he called himself) who really didn't like mormons, but let us in and he fed us. And invited us back another day to meet his family and friends...and to feed us again. So we went back and talked more about the church with others. It didn't really go anywhere but it was kinda fun nonetheless. haha. But. Its just hard and frustrating because there is so much opposition and force working against us. So no matter how hard we work and how good we are, people still have it in their minds that we are crazy or whatever the case may be. UGH. I hate Satan.
I'm growing. I'm learning a lot. Not only about the gospel but about myself. The lesson in Sunday School this week, (which I had to teach yet again, 3rd week in a row, cause the teacher didn't show up) was about work and responsibilities. Work is an eternal truth. And for me I need to work on myself. Get myself more in line with where I need to be. I mean it's crazy to think our potential after this life. We are here to learn how to be like our Heavenly Father. AAHHH! Anyway. I just see the need to always be in check with yourself and always improving. We are either progressing or degressing. We can't just plateau and hang out for a while. If we think we are doing that, we are really going backwards. Dang.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK I LOVE YOU!

**JAWS Theme Song** 7/25/2011
Okay. This week needs to be flushed down the toilet of my life.
I fell ill this week. We were in the apartment planning some of the week and all of the sudden I just got the chills and was like dying and was shaking really bad. We went out and worked anyway. While we were out I just felt like I was about to pass out and throw up and then curl into a ball and die. So we called Sister Jones and she told me to go home and sleep. I checked my temperature and it was 101.9 and then I just fell asleep and died. So, for Thurs. and Fri we were just in the apartment with me on my deathbed. It was not fun at all. I just felt real icky and had a headache and fever and just dizzy nasty. BUT NOW I AM BETTER!!
Some crazy stuff has happened this week. Oh yeah. We met this less active guy who I am pretty sure thinks he is a prophet. So that was real interesting. He speaks Spanish and English and he told me my Spanish was really good... :) He said I have the accent down so that's good! But anyway, it was just hilarious to hear how he thinks he is a prophet. Looks like we know what we will be teaching home boy. George was sick this week too, so we didn't get to meet with him for very long. Or teach anything really. We've been trying to go by less-actives (like always) because there are like a billion. So that's kinda rough sometimes.
I'm trying really hard. Sometimes I speak Spanish to myself. Okay, I love you all so much! Have a great week!

Bad news...7/18/2011
Bad News is: I am never coming home.
Good News is: The bad news only comes because I LOVE THIS!!
Okay so week: Busy. Long. Short. Hot. Stressful. Exhausting. Humid. Fun. Invigorating. Sunny. Spiritual. Hundreds.
It is hard to get used to a new compannion and I am still in that process. It is also hard to be in an area where you have already been for like 3 months and you feel lik you have done everything you can but haven't seen much fruit coming forth. So, I've been kinda struggling lately. Still trying to remain faithful and doing everything that I can.
Sister Jones- Mission Presidents wife- called us with a referral. Less active and stuff. She wants her baby to grow up knowing God so she wants to come back to church. Her spouse is not a member, but he is open to hearing more about our church. MIRACLE! So we are excited to work with them. :)
Another one. This guy named George. Lives back at home to help his parents out. Really cool guy. so the first time we met he was wroking on something at the house and we asked if we could help him and he said no, but kept thanking us and being like, "Wow, nobody is ever like that. Thank you so much. Wow, you guys are so nice I can't believe you really mean that! Wow, thank you" Hahahaha. Anyway. He mentioned this video on Youtube: 23 hours in heaven. And how it got him to thinking how he needs to get closer to God and to find the right church.
**Message for George: "I have sent 2 guys to your house who are my servants. Listen to them because they teach the truth. Thanks. --God. **
I told him we help people find truth and will help him learn how he can learn truth for himself. I am so happy to have been guided to George. I am so blessed! Heavenly Father looks out for each and every one of His children and I am so grateful that he does. George has been an answer to my prayers in many ways. I hope I can live up to the trust that God has shown in me to help this man on his journey.

Scariest Week in Review 7/11/2011
I got a new companion as you all very well know. What you may not know is that I was about to throw up every organ in my body before, cause I was so nervous. Transfer meeting is at 10 AM..away from our area. So, we go there at 10 and find out I have to wait till 5:30 PM. It was lame cause I had to spend ALL DAY not working. But the other Elders from my district had to wait too, so we all just hung out and ate and stuff together all day.
His name is Elder Fielding. He is from Bountiful, Utah. It's his birthday today, actually, and he is very different from Elder Andersen. He is pretty quiet and stuff which is totally fine. It has been going great with Elder Fielding so far. He is so humble and kind, I will hopefully learn from that example. I think we get along pretty well. I just feel bad cause this area is like one of a kind, not like any of the areas in the mission, so he has no idea what to expect. Weird thing is: I never knew I would miss E. Andersen so much. We worked together really well and he is pretty much like my best friend now, so I miss him A LOT!
OKAY!! guess what I ate on the 4th of July... MENUDO!!!
Yes. The intestines of cow mixed into a broth. Yummm. NOT! It was actually not that terrible tasting, it was just the texture that kept making me gag. So it was hard to swallow. It was definitely an EXPERIENCE!
So our investigators are not doing so hot. Jut really pray that we will find somebody that is prepared to ACCEPT the gospel. Someone who is really PREPARED!! Please :)
Other than that, biggest miracle ever. My Spanish. I don't know why but these past few day we have been running into a lot of mexicans. And guess what? I could communicate with them. For some odd reason, I can speak Spanish! I am with someone who is pretty much on my same level and so I feel more confident? Anyway. I am just so grateful! I was able to give a blessing to this very old woman in Spanish. My first one. I know not everything that I said was correct, but I could just feel the spirit so strong and she was so grateful and said it was beautiful. I am just so blessed!

Red, White, and Blue. 7/4/2011
Tonight, really the only plans are going to these people's house for a little celebration...Nothing too exciting. We were supposed to go to the tower of the americas today for FREE, but the guy who was supposed to take us cancelled...AGAIN, that happened last week, too. But anyway. Nothing too exciting for today. I LOVE MEXICANS. There i this family called the Guzmans. They speak English and have these kids who lie live us and always come up and talk to me. Their son Antonio, who is like 11, always like comes and sits by me at church and stuff. They are so cool. The whole family sings mariachi and they performed for us the other night when we went over there for dinner. It made my life.
Transpers are this week. They already called and said ANdersen is leaving. He is NOT going to the boarder though. So, Thursday I will be getting a new companion and staying in Downtown SA fo another 6 weeks. I am excited cause I really do like this area. Elder Andersen and I were like, I hope my new companion can't speak any Spanish, so I have to do it all and I can learn and becaome fluent! My Spanish really is picking up. I had some guy tell me this week he remembers at the beginning I didn't speak so well and now I speak very well! That was comforting. I'm still not where I want to be, but it's coming along.
ANY WAY> I gotta go.

Sorry for the delay!!
Hi Everyone who reads Kyle's Blog,
I am sorry for the delay--I have had trouble getting his letters to cut and paste, and I haven't had time to recopy them myself until now. I hope you don't give up on me. It's surprising how quickly I fell behind.
I am planning to update the blog today with highlights from the past 2 months.
Elder Webb is doing GREAT and it is hard to believe he is already 6 months into his mission! I appreciate your interest in him and hope you will continue to check for updates.
Thanks, Kay
