This week was alright. So this less active family randomly came to church last Sunday...So we went and visited them and they moved into the ward in like October, I think. Anyway, so we went and visited them and got to know them and had a little momento espiritual wth them. At the end we asked if there was anything that we could do for them and they were like, "Yes actually. Can you guys teach us all the missionary lessons? We haven't heard them in a while and would really like to do that." ... Uhhh...DUH!!! We were so excited. They have 3 little kids ages 5, 3, and 20 months. Cutest little family ever. And we are so excited to work with them and help them become active!
We had interviews with the President this week and that went well. He told me he hopes I'm excited to get a new companion and to lead the area for a little while. He said, "you shouldn't have any problems taking the lead I suppose." I was like, "YAY!! No, I love leadership!" Anyway, I just hope President sees me as an asset to this mission and stuff. I really love our President! He is such a great man and someone that I look up to so much! I'm glad I get to be here while he serves as the mission prez.
FUN STORY: We were knocking yesterday and there was a house that had a gate around it. There was a sign on the gate that said "Beware of Dog". So we shook the gate to see if there really was a dog...waited and then there was nothing. So we proceeded to open the gate and knock the door. SO. We were waiting at the door and Elder Andersen slowly turned around and was like, "OH MY GOSH!" And this big dog was right behind us like cornering us, READY to attack. So luckily I had my little dog repeller on hand. I whipped it out of my pocket just at the right time and he got kinda scared and stepped back. We went for the gate and then he started kinda chasing us but stayed back cause I kept pushing the button. ANYWAY. We were so scared and SO THANKFUL for that little repeller. It saved our lives. So thank you for that.
One more thing. We found this guy named Gary. The night before I was picking streets to go on and there was one called Panama that stuck out to me...So I wanted to knock it. On our way to an apt. we passed Panama and I was like, "hey, last night I wanted to knock that!" So after our apt we went back nd knocked it and ran into Gary and had a sweet first lesson with him. We are going back tomorrow and we are very excited. He was deff a miracle!
Anyway, I gotta go. I love you all so much and hope you have a great week!
<3 Always,
Elder Kyle David Webb
